Tow Straps
Tow Straps can be known around the industry as Recovery Straps, Towing Straps, and Recovery Tow Straps. Tow Straps are widely used to move vehicles that have become stuck in the water, mud, a ditch, snow, debris, or other obstacles that may need a little extra force to get out of a location. Recovery tow straps also make for a great method to pull vehicles down the road if a vehicle were to break down. Heavy Duty Tow Straps are one of the best ways to get a vehicle out of a sticky situation.
Tow Straps work great for everything such as ATV’s, RV’s, Pickup Trucks, Trailers, Motorcycles, ATV’s, Golf Carts, and other vehicles that need to be pulled out. Tow Straps use nylon tie down webbing to stretch in order to help reduce the amount of force occurring on your vehicle or other automobiles. Stretching helps to absorb some of the shocks from the initial jerk on the webbing.
It is always important to remove some of the excess slack in the nylon webbing before towing to remove some of the extra force when removing a vehicle that is stuck. A good rule of thumb to follow is to move far enough to make the webbing off of the ground and become level, but it is crucial to move your vehicle slowly when doing so.
This helps to reduce some of the stress on the webbing and the vehicle that is towing as well. Tow Straps come in different varieties of tie down webbing such as 1 ply tow straps which contains a single layer of material. As well as our popular double layered material being 2 ply tow straps that are used for the more heavier tasks.
Tow Straps are manufactured with a thick nylon webbing blend that can offer some stretching to relieve the stress on both of the ends of the webbing. Nylon Straps come with 8 to 12 inch Cordura Eyes that act as a way to keep friction lower while keeping your straps extra safe to keep your straps long lasting.
Lodi Metals also has several different Towing Chain Bridles made for the professional towing industry to easily attach and pull vehicles with Cluster Hooks, J Hooks, and T-J Combo. Tow Chain Bridles are made from Grade 70 Chain and come with 15 inch J Hooks to easily fasten to vehicles from different angles.
