Hoop Load Lock Bars for Load Stabilization
Hoop Bars include everything that makes a load bar except that they have large aluminum hoops attached to them. Hoops help to provide extra surface area to hold things in place for storage or in place while going down the road. The metal hoops that are attached to the cargo bar allow the bar to secure loads that typically could not have been secured by traditional load bars.
There are two main different types of Hoop Load Bars with one the varieties being Bolt-on Hoop Bars and the other being Weld-on Hoop Bars. The main difference is how the hoops are held into place with one being bolted on with a wrench and hardware and the other being welded on into place. Both of these bars provide great strength and durability for cargo securement and durability and are often a personal preference for the driver.
Hoop Load Bars come in sizes ranging from 89 to 112 inches so they are able to fit even the largest of semi-trailers. These bars are mainly used to prevent boxes and smaller objects from shifting or tipping over during transit. The Hoop Load bars create large rectangular rings that help to provide a barrier between multiple loads within a truck.
The Different Types of Hoop Load Lock Bars
Weld-on Hoops – One of the benefits of welded-on hoops is the permanent fixture of the hoops which helps save you time when it comes to being ready to use the load bars. Also, as the load bars are welded-on it provides extreme durability from our high-quality welds onto the metal bar and hoops.
One downside is it can be challenging at times to find room to store these bars and even more so true when you are storing numerous weld-on hoops at once. Another downfall of using weld-on hoops is almost every circumstance will need to be shipped by freight due to the size of the bar itself.
Bolt-on Hoops – One of the major benefits of using bolt-on hoops is it is much easier to store these bars inside of trailers or other areas after every use as the bars unbolt. This helps make the bars compact and easy to store or easy to move around as they do not have the additional surface area compared to weld-on.
Also, one of the major key selling points for bolt-on hoop load bars is the ability to ship them for a much more affordable rate due to their smaller size. This helps you to bring the shipped price down per bar to each location in most circumstances.
Bolt-On Hoops do require some assembly and time to set up before each use which is not the ideal situation for everyone. If you have the bolt on the version, it is important to make sure that the bolts are securely fastened because failure to do so could result in serious injury and damage to your cargo.
Both cargo load bars have their pros and cons and it is ultimately up to the driver securing cargo to determine which bar is best for them.
