What are Endless Loop Tie Down Straps?
Endless Loop Straps can be known around the professional transportation industry as cinch straps, endless loop, or endless straps to name a few of the popular names. These straps can be made into two different varieties such as Endless Loop Ratchet Straps or Endless Loop Cam Buckle Straps depending on the cargo load you are securing and personal preference on the one transporting the cargo.
An endless loop tie-down strap is a tie strap made with either Cam Buckle Hardware or Ratchet Strap Hardware to tighten and does not have any fittings on the end of the strap. Endless Loop Straps are designed for securing cargo together, on roof racks, or cargo on a pallet to hold it in place during transit. Features light-duty 500 lbs working load limit to our heaviest-duty endless straps featuring 5,000 lbs working load limit to ensure the cargo remains secured throughout transit.
Made from heavy-duty metal hardware and high-quality polyester tie-down webbing that provides heavy-duty strength and little amounts of stretching to ensure the cargo is safe to secure. An additional benefit of using polyester tie-down webbing is it does great outside in the elements ranging from extremely cold temperatures to extremely hot and in just about any form of weather conditions you could imagine. These are the ideal straps for protection against direct sunlight, mold, mildew, and moisture over time.

The Different Types of Endless Loop Straps
Endless Loop Ratchet Straps – Endless Loop Ratchet Straps are one of the two different types of endless straps and are made to provide much heavier duty strength and added durability. Endless Loop Ratchet Straps use Ratchet Hardware that flows in one direction making it a much heavier-duty and tighter securement that helps to ensure once the strap is tightened it will not come undone during transit. Available in 1-inch wide, 2-inch wide, and 4-inch wide varieties depending on the working load limit you need for your securement application needs.
Endless Loop Cam Buckle Straps – Endless Loop Cam Buckle Straps are the other type of endless loop tie-down straps and are made to be much simpler to use but do come at a loss of less strength causing a lower working load limit. Cam Buckle Straps are tightened by the amount of force that you can pull the end of the strap through the cam buckle until the desired slack is met. Then it is latched and held into place by the cam buckle metal teeth until you reach the final destination.
Some of the benefits of using cam buckle straps over ratchet straps are the odds of you causing damage to your cargo such as sensitive surfaces, antiques, or personal belongings is reduced greatly. On the other side, the amount of heavy-duty strength that can be used to secure heavy-duty cargo would be ideal for ratchet hardware. Cam Buckle Hardware tends to be easier to use as well as quick to secure. Whereas Ratchet Hardware is designed to secure heavier loads and provide added peace of mind knowing the cargo will not move out of place once secured.
1 inch Endless Loop Straps – 1 inch Endless Loop Straps come in both cam buckle and ratchet hardware options with a variety of different working load limits ranging from 500 lbs working load limit to 1,100 lbs working load limit for some of our heavy-duty options.
These straps are the ideal straps for bundling cargo together to save available space inside dry van trailers for professional truckers, securing cargo to a pallet, or even securing luggage to the roof rack on vehicles to name a few of the popular securement applications. Available with a variety of different lengths, hardware options, and colors of webbing to fit your exact cargo control needs.
2-inch Endless Loop Straps – 2-inch Endless Loop Straps are available with both cam buckle and ratchet hardware and range from 915 lbs working load limit to 3,335 lbs working load limit depending on the assembly options for your cargo securement. Choose the hardware options, the color of webbing, and the length to make this the perfect 2-inch endless loop strap for your next securement application.
4-inch Endless Loop Straps – Although it is quite rare we do have an extra heavy-duty 4-inch-wide endless loop ratchet strap. Featuring a 5,400 lbs working load limit rating tag and is used to hold some of the heaviest cargo on the road in place during transit. The Ratchet Hardware alone for this strap weighs over 7.5 lbs and is not recommended for around-the-house securement applications. Available in several different colors and lengths of polyester tie-down webbing.
