These base plates are well constructed and built to last and are made with option to use a tent stake to secure to the ground. The frame leg slides into the base plate and is secured in place with a pin fastener. A Base Plate fitting is used in standard west coast tent systems to help prevent the legs or uprights tubing from sinking.
